Get an overview of Micro-Epsilon's current sensor solutions that are particularly compact, smart and economical: from 3D measurement technology and thickness measurement to laser sensors and confocal chromatic measuring systems for high-precision displacement measurement. We will be happy to support you in selecting the right measurement method or with a test measurement.
Powerful 3D sensors with uniform software solution
Micro-Epsilon has developed a new, powerful 3D generation for inline measurement and inspection tasks. The 3DInspect software not only provides complete 3D point clouds, but also offers a uniform software solution for all 3D sensors from the product portfolio for this purpose. The 3D sensors impress with measurement accuracy in the sub-micron range. They can be integrated into modern environments via GenICam / GigE Vision standards. The 3D point clouds can be evaluated directly and used for process control. The sensors perform geometric component checks, position determination, presence checks, and flatness or planarity measurements. All sensors can be used in-line, stationary and on a robot.
Precise inline thickness measurements for belt and plate materials
The thicknessGAUGE systems provide highly accurate thickness values for strip and sheet materials. In addition to the C-frame models, they can also be integrated into the production line as O-frame versions. They can be perfectly adapted to the measurement task and the object surfaces to be measured by using different sensor technologies such as laser scanners, laser triangulation sensors, confocal sensors and electromagnetic combination sensors. The thicknessGAUGE systems enable 100% inline thickness measurement. At the same time, they are highly precise, economical and can be adapted to the measurement task with regard to various parameters such as measuring width, measuring range etc.
Powerful laser displacement sensors with EtherCAT
The innovative optoNCDT 1900 laser triangulation sensor offers a unique combination of speed, size and accuracy. It is used for dynamic displacement, distance and position measurements such as in the automotive industry, 3D printing or coordinate measuring machines. With the integrated Industrial Ethernet interface (EtherCAT), the sensor offers advantages especially for high speed processes and for the networking of several devices and machines. The integration via EtherCAT into a bus system can be carried out according to standard protocols (TCP, UDP, FTP) and thus facilitates the communication. For demanding surfaces, the sensor is equipped with intelligent surface control, which ensures optimum exposure and thus stable measurement results.
World's largest confocal sensor portfolio
Confocal chromatic sensors are used for distance and thickness measurements where the highest accuracy and signal stability are required. They offer state-of-the-art technology allied with high speed and maximum precision. Different sensor models and controller interfaces open up a variety of application fields, e.g., in the semiconductor industry, glass industry, medical technology and plastics production. Thanks to these powerful controllers and precise sensors, the smallest details and structures on all surfaces can be measured reliably.
Modern laser distance sensors with IO-Link
The optoNCDT ILR2250 laser distance sensor with IO-Link measures distances up to 100 m without a reflector, and up to 150 m with a reflector. The sensor can be used in both indoor and outdoor applications. The robust aluminum die-cast housing is designed for industrial environments. The optoNCDT ILR2250 is used, amongst others, in the steel industry as well as in the transport, logistics and conveyor system industries. The IO-Link standard enables the recording, exchange and evaluation of process data, parameters and diagnosis values of the entire production process, from the PLC through to the sensor/actuator level. This saves time and money. All you need for the connection is a common industrial line.
